Hi. Why can't i install an 8bf file in plugins in photoshop 2025. It's the Flaming Pear "Flood 2" plugin. Worked in all my previous versions of photoshop, why not in PS 2025 ?

Many thx in advance for your answer(s) / help.

I only have it in Photoshop 24.

My problem is that I have tried to be clever, and I keep presets in a Photoshop Assets folder tree and place shortcuts to those folders in the relevant file location.  However it's a few years since I set that up, and I can't remember exactly where I placed the shortcuts.  There is definately no file named Flood anywhere in my Photoshop 25, and that includes Program Files, and Appdata\Roaming

I am reasonably confident that if you use the above location, but substitute 2025 for 2024 and place the files there, it will work.  You don't need to install any of the Flaming Pear plugins.  Just place the 8bf files and presets.

I don't use it often, but happen to have used it a couple of days ago in one of our Something For The Weekend threads (currently) towards the bottom of this page:

@Trevor.Dennis I just downloaded the trial version of the plug-in to test, it does indeed work with 2025, I did get this error when Photoshop started, but the filter still works
