Problem with focus stacking

Hello, I try to focus stacking of several images and after aligning them, they automatically go into a panorama format and I can't merge them. My program is updated to 22.3.1 I have tried various ways but it always leads to that error. I request help, thank you.

I am just checking with latest release of Photoshop 22.3.1 on Windows and everything works fine. There are two dialogues in this process, can you tell us what settings/options you are chosing?

    How are you aligning them? What settings are you using for that? Can you post some screen shots of those dialog boxes?
