Render video export not working [2019]

Hi!
I just recently started having this issue rendering animated videos in Photoshop CC on my Mac.  Before, I've had no trouble.  I go to file, export, render video, and then the settings appear.  I usually use 24 frames per second, work area, adobe media encoder, and either Quicktime or the hdm4 (I can't remember what it's called exactly - the one that exports videos as mp4 files).  After clicking okay, the Photoshop cursor spins and spins and spins...and the video never renders.  I don't even get the loading sign.  The program just freezes.

Is there anything to fix this problem?  Or something I may have done wrong?  I've used photoshop to animate for over a year now and this is the first time I've had a problem like this.  Please help!

So,

Changed disk access settings.Video Export worked until the next restart.

Opened up Medie encoder. Video Export worked until the next restart.

So there's clearly an intermittent problem that has been present for a number of years the makes the video creation tool in Photoshop unreliable (finishing work on a project in the evening and starting work on it again the next morning to find a feature as decided to 'turn itself off') and by extension, pointless?

What exactly is Adobe doing about this?

Hello, I think that affected users should gather their system specs (OS, Ps version) and what they did so far, then search or create a thread on the Adobe Photoshop Family site, watched by Adobe staff. Make sure to provide as many relevant details as possible.

Having the same problem. Did the disk security thing and it worked for a while and then stopped. Brand new Mac and up-to-date software. It seems this problem has been an issue for a number of years now? If you can't get it to work, why have it in there?

Same here - photoshop freezes as soon as I try to export the video. Saved the file as .psd, opend it on Windows 7 PC, and the export worked.

I'm having the same issue. Tried everything said before and nothing worked. This is really frustrating...

I went back to PS version 22.1 on my iMac 2015 27 retina and it worked.

22.1 was the oldest version on the Adobe site

I have same problem after  PS update to 21.2. Before was everything good and Render>picture frames, trees, flames worked all right. Asked help Adobe, but  no answer, only Windows version 2004. I made it two day, but still  Render not worked...

I'm having the same issue. Last week I completely uninstalled all my Adobe software and even ran an Adobe cleaner tool on my hard disk. I reinstalled all my Adobe software and the problem was fixed.

Unfortunately, the issue came back today. I can't render video once again.

I've tried the workaround (granting security access) but that doesn't fix the problem. I'm not reinstalling all my Adobe software every time this happens, cause that's a pain in the a**.

Any other suggestions?

Yes this issue is still occuring. I downloaded Photoshop 21.1.2 yesterday as apart of the free trial. One of the main reasons I want to use the app for is turning timelapse shots of the night sky into short videos and its unable to perform this function. Dont see the reason to buy the app if its not working properly.

I have tried the Full access work around as well. Seems a bit ridiculous to grant the app full access to your computer as a work around??

Are you using the Catalina OS? If so, see here:

I just updated to Catalina on Mac, yes.  Fortunately, I found a solution: I just had to adjust privacy settings on my computer to allow Photoshop full disk access.  Seems to be working for now.

Thanks for the reply!

I have this same problem.  Allowing full disk access has not solved the problem.

I really need to export this image sequence to video!
