Save for Web Metadata Can No Longer Remove Lens Model

I'm suddenly experiencing an issue where I can't get rid of the lens model in the metadata. I normally save for web using the option "All except camera info", which usually strips the camera settings and the lens model. I have been successfully using that same process for years, but something changed this week and I can't figure out what happened. The camera settings are stripped, which is what I want but the lens model remains. If I save for web with the "None" (no metadata) option, I lose the date the photo was taken (I want to keep that).

I'm using Photoshop version 24.1. I also tried downgrading several prior versions but still have the same issue. Is this a bug or operator error? How can I strip the camera metadata including lens model, but keep the photo capture date and my copyright info?
