Saving as JPG in "Save a Copy" and "Save As" junction gone in PS 2023

SO I updated on Wednesday to PS 2023 and now I only have 5 options for saving my projects in ALL MENUS. Is there somehting new to being able to save a JPG because I don't even see this function anymore in the Save A Copy or Save As funcitons. Is this user error (most likely) or what am I missing?

I am not a geek and just want to use Photoshop as I have done for 20 years. almost all my images are saved as JPEGS. I feel insulted that this has been removed. If it does not come back I'll delete Photshop and find something else. I don't want to do that but PS is useless to me if I can't save my completed images as JPEGS.

You have been asked to give the image’s pixel dimensions.

Edit: I do apologize, @geoff bowers , I confused you with the original poster.

But the point remains valid: What are the pixel dimensions of the image in question?

If you are unwilling to provide meaningful information then that’s not meaningful trouble-shooting.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out.

We do have the option to save as JPEG in the 'Save as function. How large is the file? Did you try re-installing the software?

You can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#reset_preferences.

Please back up your settings prior to resetting the preferences.

You can check https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#BackupPhotoshoppreferences.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks!

Ranjisha

The menu you show above is no longer available in my PS after develping a raw (ORF) file.

Why should I have to jump through hoops just to get back what I amd paying for in my monthly subscription.

Please just put back the old save as options.

Can you tell us the size of your image in pixels?

JPEG supports a maximum image size of 65,535×65,535 pixels.
