Saving progress stucks on 99%

Since I have updated the mac os to OS catalina, I have a problem with photoshop that larger psd files are not being saved. The saving remains at 99%. I have the most recent version of Photoshop (CC 2010 21.0.0) Who knows what that is about?

    I am having a similar problem with Photoshop v21 on Windows 10 when saving to an internal hard drive.  Progress goes to 99% quickly, then stays there for a relatively long time before the save operation is completed. File sizes are not very large, typically 200 MB.

    Initially it looked like this happened only under Catalina, but recently some Windows cases have come up as well. That doesn't mean it's the same issue, but it does suggest there's a saving bug in CC2020 somewhere. Like all bugs, it only happens under very special circumstances (I cannot reproduce it on Windows 10 no matter how hard I try).

     

    Report it on the feedback forum, which is the official bug report channel and monitored by engineers. Include exact steps to reproduce if possible.

      It's a Catalina issue - everyone hit by this (and there are many) are on Catalina.

       

      If past history is an indication, this will very likely be fixed in the next Catalina update.

      Hi Marco,

       

      We're really sorry for the save issue. Are you facing this issue with all the files or any specific file formats? Could you please turn on the legacy compositing in Photoshop preferences > Performance tab > restart Photoshop and let us know if that helps.

       

      Also, are you facing this issue after the recent update of  Photoshop 21.0?

      Hi Mohit,

       

      The problem (freezing of the saving process) occurs when saving a psd file on an external hard drive. Even after turn on the legacy compositing in Photoshop preferences > Performance tab > and restarting Photoshop..

       

      I am are facing this issue after and before the recent update of Photoshop 21.0. Since installing Mac Os Catalina 10.15.1

      Just to chip in - I'm having exactly the same issue too, particularly when saving to external drives.
