Scratch Disk Full with Plenty of Storage Photoshop 7.0

I have read many of the posts on this subject already, and none have been helpful/solved my issue. Hopefully someone can help. I am using an old version of photoshop (Photoshop 7.0) I use it for some old equipment that is not compatible with newer versions and it has worked fine.  However, I recently deactivated it and installed it on a new computer but now it says my scratch disk is full. However I have a 500gb solid state drive and a 3tb hd neither of which is close to full. So how can i resolve my issue?

Photoshop 7.0 cannot see a disk larger than 1 TB. When it was released, drives that size didn't exist.

So you either have to create a partition smaller than 1 TB on the 3 TB disk, or use the 500 GB drive as a scratch disk.

Sorry to hear about the Scratch Disk error, could you please let us know on which drive you've installed Photoshop?
Could you try the steps mentioned here and let us know if it helps? https://helpx.adobe.com/in/photoshop/using/scratch-disks-preferences.html#Troubleshootscratchdiskfullerror

I have the program installed on the 500gb solid state. It will let me save to the 500gb drive but not the 3tb drive it says that one is full. After reading Per Berntsen 's post it makes sense why it wont let me save. The issue have been solved. Thanks for the help both of you.
