Tool appearance

Somehow I've turned on an option that shows the actual tool when I'm working on a photo.  I don't see a circle or a brush anymore, just an icon of the stamp tool, or the healing brush looks like a bandaid, etc.  I don't get to see the sample size circle or where I'm using the tool.
