Trying to use my CS serial number to activate the CS2 download

I like many others still want to use my photoshop CS but am unable to activate it, so have read some threads on the forum and have got as far as downloading the free version of CS2 but unfortunately my serial number isn't recognised. Can anyone advise me how I can get the free download of CS2 as I do have a legit copy of CS?

You as an owner of CS would download the replacement CS2 here:

Download Adobe Acrobat 7 and Adobe Creative Suite 2 products

It is important that you use the serial number provided next to the download link, not your old serial number.
