Adding realistic lettering onto an object

Say I have this picture of, oh, a cloth COVID mask. I want to place type on it. But I want it to look real. Not like type placed on a picture. Is there a way to do that?  I'd love an action if it exists, but a free way through PSE would be just fine. Thank you.

You can do that with a Displacement map. Have a look at the last post in this thread:
