All of my photos in black and white turn Sepia colored

As stated in my forum note, all of my photos in PS Elements and even in Lightroom, when shot in black and white or changed in black and white post process, display as a sepia-colored photo.  Not as the intended black and white that I want.  Has anyone had this issue? If so, how do I fix this? I have tried adjusting my settings in control panel, even in my video card-still no change.  If someone could help, I would appreciate it greatly.  Thank you.
