Crop tool Elemants 15

Question

I run Elements 15 (just purchased)  on Windows 10, it will not allow me to leave the crop tool at a custom size, for many photos I have to reset after every photo. In fact the custom option disappears. In Photoshop elements the custom button would be there I would set a size and then it would stay that way until I changed it.  I find this so frustrating. I did post here before but couldn't find my original post. I tried all that was suggested but nothing worked.

To do that, on the tool's option bar, look for a box with lines in it on the right. Click on it to reset. If that does not work, reset preferences to default. To do that, go to Edit>Preferences>General and look for this:
