Question

Custom Crop

I have recently just downloaded Elements 15, there are many features that I like, BUT I HATE THE CROP TOOL.  I use this tool all the time, and in other versions I could set a custom setting at 8 inches by 12 inches  and edit as many pictures as I want at that size, and until I changed the size it would stay the same.

Elements 15 will not do that, it resets the size of the image after each picture. It is driving my crazy, it is so time consuming to have to rest it for every picture.  I called support they told me to use the perspective tool, that makes me dizzy!   There has to be a way I can set a crop of  8inches by 12 inches at 400 dpi, and have it stay that way until I change it.  Please help!

What operating system are you using?

Are you using the Crop Tool in Guided or Expert Mode?

Hi Jeff,  I work in expert mode, and Windows 10.    I had Photoshop elements 12 before I purchased this PE 15, and I am still having to use it as it lets me set the crop size, and do as many photos as I want in that size.  To have to rest the size after every photo is a complete pain in the you know what!

The crop tool in PSE15 works just like before for me. The last settings are kept during the whole editing session.

Did you try to reset the tool preference or all the preferences?
