Have loaded and worked with Photoshop Elements 2019 for a couple of days.  Now getting the following errors when I try to load files that I have worked on.

1. JPEG marker segment length is too short....

2.  Could not complete request.  Not valid Photoshop document....

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

    Hi there,

We apologize for the issue you are facing while opening your images with Photoshop Elements.

Could you provide us with more information so that we can help you?

    1. Are you using a Windows or a Mac? (The exact OS version would also be helpful)
    2. Are the images saved on the local storage of your computer or an external drive?
    3. Are all the files JPEGs or are you getting the errors while trying to open multiple formats?

You can try to open the images with a different application and save the files again to check if you are able to open the images in Photoshop Elements?

Hi Nikunj. I'm having the same problem photoshop (& elements) 2019 error message :could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document" I'm on a desktop & laptop running Windows 10. The problem started after Windows 10 & 10 security upd installed. I get the error message on jpg files downloaded from web and also opening psd files. If I open from Windows "Photos" or "File Explorer" they usually open - but not today on files I created under an older Photoshop, which I can't find but if I "Save" again will say the file already exists. Help! Thank you, DD
