How to get a Mac dowload for a previously purchased Photoshop Elements?

After waiting 37 minutes on hold with no one answering at Adobe support, I am turning to this forum.  The issue seems to me to be simple, but I cannot find any answer after wasting an hour on the Adobe site.

I bought Elements for my Mac last year.  My computer was destroyed in a fire, and I bought  new Mac.  I want to download the program I bought last year.

I can find my order and serial number.  I can find a download for it.  But I am only offered a download of a Windows .exe file that I cannot use on my Mac.

So how can I get a download of the Mac version that I was using on my old computer?  Should be simple, no?
