I am trying to merge 3 photos: a left facing profile, a full frontal view and a right facing profile while blurring from ears

I am trying to merge 3 photos: a left facing profile, a full frontal view and a right facing profile while blurring from ears.  I am in Photoshop Elements and trying to use guided and expert to accomplish this.

    1. File>New>blank file. W=8.5", H=11", or whatver the size is of your paper , Resolution 300 px/in, Background:White
    2. Open picture #1, and select the object with the lasso tool, or the selection brush. Then, Edit>copy to place it on the clipbord.
    3. Go back to the blank file, Edit>paste. Picture #1 will come in on its own layer
    4. Activate the move tool, and position picture #1
    5. Do the same for pictures 2 & 3.. Each one will be on a separate layer, affording you perfect control..

    Where is the problem?

    You could try to select the 2 profile and the frontal  pictures , place them on a background, and use the blur tool.

    That is what I'm having trouble with.  It should be easy.

    Where do you encounter a problem? Are you relatively proficient in the use of this program?
