Instant Fix in Photoshop Elements 2018 Organizer Not Working

When I select a photo and press the Instant Fix Icon there is brief activity but nothing is displayed. The Instant Fix Panel is not displayed and the screen locks. I can press the keyword/Info button in the lower right hand corner and unfreeze the screen. Is there a solution for this problem?

Can you please confirm if the search panel opens? For this, click on the blue search icon at top right side of application.

Please also mention the OS you are using.

No, the search panel will not open. It appears to locked up like the rest

of PE 2018 when I click Instant Fix. The message that flashes briefly

after I click Instant Fix says, "preparing files". PE 2018 locks up after

this message displays. I have Windows 10 operating system. I still have PE

15 installed. I do not have a problem with Instant Fix in PE 15.
