Photoshop Elements 2022 Editor will not complete the startup.

Installed Photoshop Elements 2022 on a Windows 10 Lenovo lapgtop. This was to replace version13 which had numerous errors and needed to be regularly restarted. The 2022 pparently installed OK. First run it starts the entry point app but clicking the Editor button starts the load and initialise but it then just stops. I have twice got it to work but now cannot get it to run.

I got it to launch by running Adobe Elements 2022 Organizer before trying to launch the Editor. This may just be a coincidence. I have not tried to repeat this because, now it is running, I am getting yje editing done that I need while it still works. I will report back if this a blind alley.

Nope, that wasn't repeatable. In fact the fool thing spontaneously terminated. Tried numerous times to get it to start without success. Eventually terminated every app I didn't want, including a bunch of Adobe Cloud funtions, rebooted and tried again. Worked this time. Not much use at diagnosing why this software is such a giant pain.
