Photoshop elements wil not open printer since Windows update

Question

I run Elements 18 and since my pc updated windows 10 I cannot print using Elements. I had had to reinstall my Canon iP8750 as I wasn't able to print using any software after the update. I reinstalled the printer and  It prints in other software (Paint)  . When I try printing with Elements  It comes up with a dialogue to say it cannot open the printer. . Can anyone help me to get back to printing with Elements please - I make handmade books and cannot work without it!

If you are printing from the Editor, try resetting the preferences file. Go to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.

Are you able to print from the Organizer?
