Photoshop message "could not open "title 2.jpg" because it is not a valid photoshop document"

Suddenly my Photoshop will not open jpeg files. Once process is completed in LRC and exported as a jpeg file I get a blacked out file in Photoshop. If I try to Open as I get the above message.
