Hi,

when I try to open any settings window from the drop-down menu ("General", "Performance", ...), the program crashes completely. I don't know what to do. I can't make any more settings.

PS Elements 21.0 (2023)

MacBook Air M1, 2020

macOS 14.6.1 (23G93)

Did you try the workaround suggested by going to Apple>System Settings>General>Language & Region and changing the language for Photoshop Elements 2023 editor to English US?

The PSE 2023 editor is in

Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023/Support Files/Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor.app

Seems to be a bug with both pse 2024 and 2023.

Adobe issued a patch for for pse 2024, but not pse 2023 so a "fix" for the issue is as follows

from this forum thread:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-elements-discussions/macos-sonoma-14-4-photoshop-elements-2023-and-2024-crashes-if-clicking-on-settings/m-p/14481559

The workaround would be to change the language for Photoshop Elements 2023 editor to English US. Please follow the below steps:
1. Please open system settings> click General in the sidebar, then click Language & Region on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)
2. Go to Applications, select Photoshop Elements 2023> Support Files> PSE editor
3. Choose a language for an app: Click the Add button, choose an app and a language from the pop-up menus, then click Add.

Adobe. What is that? The program is one year old and no longer supported??

And the settings files cannot be edited manually as they are in a binary format:

/Users/lebostein/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop Elements 21 Settings/Adobe Photoshop Elements 21 Prefs.psp

Will reinstalling PSE and deleting all settings help, or is this a different problem?

Same happens if I try to open the settings via shortcut ⌘K
