Yes, Photoshop Elements can work on Snapdragon CPUs, but compatibility can be tricky and depends on the specific version and operating system. While some versions have been reported to work by using workarounds or the "run as administrator" function, Adobe's official system requirements for recent versions do not currently list Windows on ARM processors as supported. Adobe is actively working on native ARM support for many of its applications, including the Elements suite.

    Compatibility status and workarounds
    • May require workarounds: Some users have successfully installed and run Photoshop Elements on Snapdragon-powered laptops by right-clicking the installer and using "run as administrator" or by manually running the .exe file after installation, according to this Adobe Community thread.
    • Official support: Adobe's system requirements for Photoshop Elements 2026 (as of late October 2025) do not currently support Windows on ARM processors, notes this Adobe Community post.
    • Native support is coming: Adobe is developing native ARM versions of its Creative Cloud applications, which should improve performance and reliability on devices like those with Snapdragon X series chips.

    What to keep in mind
    • Performance: Even when working, performance may vary. It is best to check with Qualcomm's website for an updated list of optimized and emulated applications to get the best experience.
    • Operating system: Make sure you are using Windows 11 (version 23H2 or later) to get access to the necessary emulation features and updates, as Windows 10 and older are not supported.
    • Check for updates: Keep your operating system and all Adobe applications updated to the latest versions to benefit from performance improvements and bug fixes as they become available.

Yes. I learned after buying the 3-year-licence.

The simple warning "arm" is not clear for every normal user with a new Snapdragon/Qualcomm....

It is a shame - they manage to make LR compatible, but not the Elements-Family.

It took me some time at support-Chat to get the refund....
