20-30 Minute Video Taking 5-9 Hours to Export

Hey Guys,

I make a video every week and its normally 20-30 minutes long. Mostly a few clips with music/dialogue and a few in and out effects on a few seconds of it. Even after clearing cache and I've tried the pre-rendering it's still taking 5-9 HOURS to export. It's just for Youtube so 1280 x 720, Format H.624 and Preset YouTube 1080p Full HD.

I'm running the Latest Version of Premiere Pro 14.0.1.

The footage I'm using are MP4's from a screen recording on the 7th Gen Ipad (that is also up to date).

I'm not getting any type of Error messages while exporting or working on the project, it's just slow.

The computer is a 2012 Macbook Pro. MacOS Catalina 10.15.3. I've had my IT guy check it over and it has plenty of storage and such and the computer is running fine.

I start a new file every time I do a video. And as far as I'm aware I haven't downloaded any extra plugins for it.

It's kinda ridiculous so anything you can do to help would be great.

screen recordings are generally variable frame rate which is NOT premiere pro friendly, although they are working on this.

If this is the case, use handbrake to convert to a constant frame rate.  https://handbrake.fr

The only other possibility that occurs to me is that you have a clip way past the end of your sequence.  I had a client in hysterics about the export duration.  Made me crazy also, until I figure out what was going on.  You might try putting an in at the beginning of your sequence and an out at the end and then export in to out...
