2025.3 Playback freeze, Text window glitches, constant relinking

Question

Premiere 2025 is in need of a serious update. All versions have had similar bugs and they have not been addressed. When simply extending or trimming any audio file or music clip, playback stops. The program still runs, but nothing plays and the playhead updates nothing in the program or source monitors. You need to wait up to 4 minutes, or reset the program.

The Text/transcription window is buggy as well, often getting locked up when changing from one sequence to another, or attempting to search in the transcript.

Please figure out relinking. My editor is promted to relink every time he opens the project, even though its all linked and saved, it constantly asks to relink. And for some reason, even though Premiere clearly knows where files are located, you still need to go through the time consuming process of waiting for Premiere to relink.

Lots of issues in 2025, please update as soon as possible. I may need to roll back to previous versions.

That would be a right pain ... yep.

But as Jamie asks, they (and we other users) need a ton of details to be able to even start guessing where your various and probably several problems originate.

Troubleshooting always requires specific data details. And this is something where the vast majority of users are getting decent to great performance, but some like you aren't.

"We" have to figure what's different with your operation that results in the mess you're getting. Then something can be done.
