2026.0.1 - beachballs after every edit operation

I updated a project to 2026, but every single edit operation results in a five second beachball - insert edit, overwrite edit, ripple delete, Track select forward & drag, etc.    All these operations beachball and no input works, then eventually the operation happens.   None of this happens when I open the original project in 2025.

I’ve reset cache, updated Blackmagic RAW plugin, restarted computer and app, to no avail.

Mac Studio M1, macOS 15.7.2, Premiere 2026.0.1

Hi @POwens -  Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.  Please see, How do I write a bug report?

Do you have any third party panels or plugins installed?

What version of blackmagic RAW plugin are you using?

There’s a LucidLink panel, no plugins other than Blackmagic Raw, which I downloaded from their site and installed yesterday - I think it’s v5.1?

Hi @POwens - Does this happen if you make a new Project and import one media clip into it?

Try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

OK, I created a new project and simply dragged everything into it from the old one.   Performance seems MUCH better - not perfect, but absolutely better, and no beachballs.

OK, changing my opinion on the above.  This is still beachballing.
