Adobe Premiere Pro-Playback frozen on single frame when trying to time remap more than 200%

The subject pretty much sums it up. Since updating to Adobe Premiere Pro V14.0, I'm not able to adjust the speed of a clip over 200%. The footage is 1080p 60fps "interpreted" to 23.976fps and when I try to adjust the speed to anything higher than 200%, the playback in the program monitor only shows the first frame of the clip. Any help would be appreciated

We're sorry to hear this. Please try these steps and check if the preview is working properly.

Switch the Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only
Render the time remapped section (Sequence > Render In to Out)
