Question

After updating projects my audio files are not playing back - faulty media cache

Please, Adobe, advise: when will this be FIXED? Users having to clear cache as a 'workaround' is not acceptable, especially when a user trying to get work done gets stalled by this totally illogical (i.e. non-computer, i.e. not the fault of the PC but the software) behaviour then has to stop their workflow, hunt down a solution which is NEVER easy (thanks to the million ongoing changes in the software between every version (why???)) before they can become productive again? This is CLEARLY not a professional solution so I hope Adobe is looking to fix this approach going forward?

Hello @DamajInc,

Thanks for the message. It’s been a long time since you filed this bug. I apologize for the lack of a response. Are you still having this issue? If so, the team will need more info from you to reproduce the bug. Can you provide the information required here? How do I write a bug report?

I'll move your post to the Discussions board while we await your information.

Thanks,

Kevin

I completely agree with this - Premiere should recognize that the audio file has changed and stop using the outdated cached version.
