Question

AME glitch exporting new crop settings

On export to AME - the cropping is all wrong using the new motion 'crop' settings (not the stand-alone crop effect).  So my export had completely the wrong part of the image cropped.  I was zooming in on the image, so perhaps there's some wrong math on how AME is computing the new crop settings.

If I export DIRECTLY out of Premiere (not using AME), the cropping and export is perfect, just as I see it in the timeline.

So I recommend either exporting out of Premiere directly or just don't use the new, buggy internal crop feature and only use the drag and drop 'crop' effect if going to AME.

Using PP and AME 25.1

Yes, the MASK is the issue.  Removing the mask makes it a rectangle and there's nothing cutting the crop.  So, on export to AME, there are issues with figuring out where the MASK should be apparently.

However, the mask is what acheived the cutting of the rectangle.  I guess I'll do this in Photoshop next time.  Or just export out of PPro directly.

cheers

Ah interesting.  Let me know if the mask was the issue.  Hopefully that resolves it.

No, I don't pre-render before sending to AME.  But I'll try that and see if it has the same glitch.

I am working from an external SSD drive and also in a multi-cam timeline.

Apple M1 MAX

Sequoia 15.3.2

HOWEVER, I think I found something.. I think a MASK is messing things up:

Just prior to this clip I have another cropped section of the same image, and that exports perfectly!  But the problem clip... has a MASK!

Hi @cameronb18867892

Thanks for the message. Welcome to the forums.

That's certainly frustrating.  Can you give a few more detail about your workflow? Is everything prerendered before submitting?  Are there any steps you can provide to reproduce the issue?  If you have time, please give the team a few more details. See: How do I write a bug report?  I hope we can help you shortly. Sorry for the pain points.
