Question

Audio falls out of sync when moving clips on the timeline

Really need help on this one, super frustrating!

I sync the files and only one of them falls out of sync when I move them.

I don't believe it's drift because it is only happening to one of the files that were recorded in the same way, with the same mics.

Here's a video of the problem:
https://youtu.be/mDJSRDuxxrg

Specs:
DJI Mics (mk 1), Internal recordings, recorded at 48khz
Sequence 23.976fps
Video files shot at 23.976fps, Sony FS7, XAVC-I, 4096x2160, SLog2
Mac Studio 2023, Apple M2 Max, 96GB RAM, Sequoia 15.0.1
Premiere Pro 24.6.1

I have tried this guy's laborious workaround, and it doesn't work for me. Files keep coming out of sync.

If you create a multicam clip and slip the audio inside the multicam (sub-frame using Audio time units) then they stay where you put them on the main sequence if you cut you multicam onto it.

Thank you! That's a good work around. Any ideas why it might be doing this?

You can submit a bug report:

I'm not sure if it's technically a bug but I can certainly see how it doesn't behave how a user might expect. You have moved the clip without Audio time units switched on so it has reverted to slipping the clip back to it's original 'frame accuracy' rather than 'sub-frame accuracy'.
