You can auto transcribe a sequence. But how can you animate the subtitles afterwards?

You cannot animate captions while they are still captions. In the "new" (PR 2021 and later) captions workflow, captions are not video items and cannot be worked with in the effect controls panel.

In the Beta version, they are now working on converting captions to graphics text, which can be animated:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-beta-discussions/discuss-upgrade-captions-to-graphics/td-p/13320252

In the meantime, you have a to find another way to convert them. See this thread:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/faq-workaround-nesting-to-apply-effect-controls-to-caption-track/td-p/11935335

This link in particular:

- "Conversion software:" which links to a software tool Subtitle2xml by ‪Bas Tempelman‬
at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/subtitle2xml/9n78158bn7xm?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

Once converted and back to PR, you can use the methods Marlon describes.

Hi. You can animate titles in Premiere using the same tools and options used to animate any other kind of element.

Maybe these links can be helpful:
