Automate to Sequence — leaves a 1 frame gap

Hi, is this a bug? When I try to add clips to match the Markers, using "Automate to Sequence", a 1 frame gap is left between the clips. I have to manually extend the duration to get rid of the gap.
What's the issue? How to solve it? Is it a bug? I tried looking online but there were no solutions. I've tried matching the frame rate, installing the new Premiere Pro, trying to do it as a new project out, but all the same. Still the 1 frame gap for certain clips (not all, weirdly). And no, it's not because the clips are shorter than the marker duration (I could still extend it).

Hi @Bergamonte,

Thanks for taking the time to fill out all that extra information. Knowing the video format may be relevant, as mentioned, VFR formats can be wonky and related to issues other than render or playback. Were they shot on an iPhone? Also, as for the workflow; you want to place "at numbered markers", but there is no create number markers step in the workflow. I haven't been able to reproduce this yet, so every extra piece of information would be super helpful. If you want to send me your project and a sample clip, that might help us see what's happening. Issue - When adding clips from a bin to the timeline, via "Automate to Sequence" to match the 'markers', there's a gap / blank space of 1 frame. Image below.
Steps to reproduce - A numbered list of the exactsteps needed to reproduce the issue.
1. Select a bunch of clips from a bin
2. Go to Clip > Automate to Sequence
3. Click OK after the below, especially for Placement is "At Unnumbered Markers"
4. The clips would then be placed into the timeline.
Expected result - Clips should be placed to match the "Markers" without any blanks in between clips (unless if the clip is shorter than the marker duration).
Actual result - Clips are placed to match the Markers, but there is a blank of 1 frame. (see below, there is a tiny gap on the yellow line)
Adobe Premiere Pro version - 25.2.3 (Build 4) — But I tried with the older version too, and upgraded today.
Operating system - macOS, Ventura 13.6.3 (22G436)
Video format - NA, not related to exporting or playback.
Comparative information helps us understand more about when the issue occurs:
- Does it affect all projects or only some projects?
  I don't use this feature often but it seems it's new.
- Does it affect new projects?
  Yes, I tried with a new project file, same issue.
- When did the problem begin?
  Not sure about this as I don't use this feature often.

Thanks for submitting your bug report. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues. Can you specify exactly what type of video file you're working with? What format did you transcode them to? What version of Premiere are you using?

I tried re-encoding the phone clips via Handbreak, but it's still the same... some clips just have a 1 frame gap when automated to a sequence... this is driving me nuts! 😞 Any other solutions?

I was working with MP4s from a phone. Checked the frame rate, yes indeed they are a little different. I will try using Handbreak, thank you!
