AVCHD files using audio from a file of the same name even though they're in a different folder
I've had this problem for years, but never addressed it. I thought for sure someone would have brought it up, but I searched this forum and did a Google search and could not find anyone else who brought it up.
If I am using AVCHD files in a project and I open another project (leaving the first one open), if the AVCHD files in the first project have the same name as the AVCHD files in the newly opened project (which is usually the case), the files in the first project assume the audio of the second project. For example, a file called 0001.mts will lose it's original audio and now have the audio of the file called 0001.mts from the new project.
Does anyone know of a solution for this other than don't open two projects at the same time? My camera (C100) doesn't allow me to name my files, which is the first solution that came to mind. Meaning if I put a new SD card in, the file naming convention starts all over again so I'm going to have files open at the same time with the same names.
Now, I will say that if I close the project and open it again without the second project open, the audio will correct itself, but sometimes, I need both projects open. And I have had this happen on multiple systems through multiple versions of the software and using AVCHD files from multiple cameras (i.e. C100 and Sony EA-50).
Thanks for any thoughts or insight.
