BRAW Footage- “ Unsupported file type or damaged file"

So I'm trying to import BlackMagic footage into Premiere Pro and every time I've tried I always get the message "unsupported file type or damaged file". I tried installing the BlackMagic Player plugin (the current version for the latest version of macOS, to specify), and with this I'm able to play the .braw clips fine so it's clear that they aren't damaged, but I still get the same message in Premiere Pro.

Any suggestions or workarounds?

Hi @Jovial_wanderlust5C81 -  Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.
Please see, How do I write a bug report?

What specific version of the Plugin are you using?

Sorry for the frustration.

The BM freebie plug-in was always problematic for me. The best support for that plug-in actually is found on the Autokroma site, not from BM!

Autokroma also makes both a freebie plug-in and a relatively cheap but marvelously built for-pay plug-in.

So go to the Autokroma site. They have FAQs and docs on fixing issues with the BM plug-in. Or you can remove that plug-in and try the BM freebie.

I recommend though just getting the paid Autokroma plug-in. The extra options like presets within it are a joy and speed things up dramatically.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
