can you PLEASE fix the link media mess?

Also experiencing this issue still. Just trying to reconnect footage on a external drive, but Premiere insists on searching through the entirety of Macintosh HD before considering looking at the external drive.

What happened??? why cant i just search the elected drive anymore??

It's not *every* time, but it's often, and I haven't been able to reliably replicate it.  I've seen people mention it in other forums and say the same thing about working from external drives. Beyond that I have no idea

Can you let us know how you originally imported the media files?

Are you using media browser or the finder to relink?

Can you post a screenshot of your link media dialog box?

That would be incredibly infuriating! Just ... wow.

I cannot replicate this on either my PC desktop or atop, with LucidLink based projects and media.

What the Hades is causing this? I hope someone pops in with useful information.
