Cannot Create DVD for TV Premiere Pro 2019

Im looking to do something which I thought would be very simple, but is proving to be quite difficult (and information I can find via Google seems overly technical and confusing).

I am using the latest version of Premiere Pro. I want to create a little movie of some YouTube clips I’ve downloaded, for my toddler. I want to burn this footage onto a DVD disc, for playing on our TV.  Nothing flash, no HD or BluRay required; even pretty crap resolution is fine.

I thought I had followed all the recommended pre-formatted settings for this, but I cannot get the disc to play on either of our two DVD players.

Could someone PLEASE give me a step-by-step rundown of how I can do this? (I don’t know if I need to mention my DVD player is Australian region, but adding that info in case it changes things).

Thanks

Correct answer Stan Jones

You can't just burn files to a disk; it must be "authored."

This is the link for info re using Encore CS6 with CC:

NOTE MOD: Premiere CS6 (and Encore) is only available for those who have a perpetual license.

Encore is not usable any longer.  Your only  option is to get a different program.  I suggest Vegas DVD Architect.  It's on sale at humble bundle right now for $25.

Thanks, though, Peru !

thanks again, Peru... but at this point I'm just gonna make ISO from encore ( IF I DECIDE TO MAKE ONE ON LAPTOP WITH ENCORE) and then go to THE PIG with it.

Much easier that way.

I wanted to hook up an ext BD drive but need a stupid USB cable ( ran out ) and it's just not worth the bother at this point. I can't edit big stuff on laptop anyway.

Mainly I was looking into stuff to sorta get a handle on helping the original poster with his troubles ( burning DVD from CC ).

And how new rules effect my own ability to activate old cs6 suite. Can be done through tech support. Can't be done via the old installer package, far as I can tell... but it's best to just go with the flow and say, " everything is fast and easy ".

Good for you. However, I can't because I paid only for the subscription. And effective last week, I no longer have the privilege of using software versions that are more than one major release old. And since alternative DVD/Blu-ray authoring software now costs more money than I can afford to spend (with all the medical bills piling up), I am now exporting only as H.264 AVC MP4, which I can now copy to a USB flash drive or an SD card for playback on my household's TV set that does have such sockets/slots. In my case, take one thing away but gain another.

I guess it's a moot point... cause this is for my laptop which has no built in DVD BD player... so I can just create the iso from encore on laptop and bring over to THE PIG on thumb drive as ISO and burn it either from encore or imgburn on that computer.

Was thinking of putting external DVD BD thing on laptop, but it's not worth the trouble.

that candy thing is what triggers Malwarebytes and windows defender. it won't let me install it.  if I turn off Malwarebytes then defender stops it.

Didn't ImgBurn drop OpenCandy?

I remember Lightning (the author) posting on the ImgBurn forum a while back saying that he was not using it any longer.

Edit:

Averdahl,  I  think you may be right... there is a link to adobe web page that is now broken related to installer and activation of legacy stuff, which a tech support person gave me via chat.. and after being transferred to others I was able to ( after giving my serial number) to get 2 links to download 2 very big files (installer and content ). Will take a few hours to get the files via internet ( this laptop has no disk drive ).

I just wanted to install ENCORE cs6 , but that is not possible .. you get the whole creative suite and then custom install what you want and activate it I guess... will tell you how that goes after I get the stuff downloaded ...

But apparently there IS A WAY to do this maybe....

Averdahl, you are right... I was wrong.. the download of encore cs6 on my laptop was painless and fast... ( it doesn't have a disk drive so I only can use encore to export an ISO file ( disk image ).  Everything worked out really good.

So, all I said about problems with activating old legacy CS6 stuff was incorrect !  It works great !

anybody have a free 3rd party DVD BD burner software from ISO file from encore using win 10 ?

That's good ?

I tried a couple I had before and they both come up with flags from Malwarebytes and Windows Defender as being infected or dangerous, etc. ( like imgburn and cdburnxp ).

I'm sorry, but that is not true. Not anymore. You can try it if you like... start a new adobe ID, when prompted, take a laptop or something with a disk drive, and put your boxed version into it.  So, it's a new name ( not your real one ), and put in the serial number and try to activate. It will tell you no dice. This goes back to the whole reason for the activation process ( piracy issues ).

Otherwise I could just keep giving my neighbors my boxed version and they could just keep using the same serial number to use programs.

That's the hardest part for me to digest about the new rules... is that the boxed version is now only good for ME, and I cannot (for example) give it to my son or someone when I stop using the programs completely.

You can transfer Adobe licenses from person A to person B so it will work: Transfer an Adobe product license

ONLY if you already did it once before... you could not do it NOW if you never did it before.

And that would be related to the record they have (via your adobe ID .. like the one we use for the forum ), you name and so on.

Yes, but you write that you have it...

If anybody else buy a legal copy from let´s say eBay they will have it, they will be able to install it and the will be able to activate it.

GVI:

P.S.

Even if I were to send you my boxed version after uninstalling the programs from my computer ( de-activating them )… you would NOT be able to get an ACTIVATION CODE to install it, according to the new rules from Adobe.

So don't bother trying to get ENCORE from some other source... it won't activate.

sorry.

Perpetual licenses are not affected by what Adobe just did. You can still install and activate perpetual CS6-licenses.

GVI , with re: burning DVD from CC.  As you can see new stuff has happened with Adobe products in CC and earlier versions. The last boxed version you could buy in a STORE was CS6 ( I bought the CS6 creative suite boxed ) So I have the actual disk(s) and the box with serial number on it.  To USE it I have to put the DISK into a disk player and install it using the serial number. I then have to get an ACTIVATION CODE from Adobe ( via internet ). I think the suite cost me about $1,000.00 approx.  Long time ago.

I still use photoshop and audition on my computers from that version. I don't have and never did have CC stuff.

The way to burn DVD ( and BD) was to put your exported files into ENCORE and make some adjustments regarding how the DVD and BD player remote controls work. Like, what happens when you press PAUSE, or STOP, etc.

Then, most people exported an ISO from the ENCORE program and created the actual disk using 3rd party (free ) programs from that ISO file.  That's because ENCORE sucked at burning the discs.

NOW... people are discovering that ENCORE and all CS6 programs ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE for you to download.

So, the answer to your question is... you cannot burn DVD or BD from CC....

Sorry, but that's about the bottom line here...
