Cannot Create DVD for TV Premiere Pro 2019

Im looking to do something which I thought would be very simple, but is proving to be quite difficult (and information I can find via Google seems overly technical and confusing).

I am using the latest version of Premiere Pro. I want to create a little movie of some YouTube clips I’ve downloaded, for my toddler. I want to burn this footage onto a DVD disc, for playing on our TV.  Nothing flash, no HD or BluRay required; even pretty crap resolution is fine.

I thought I had followed all the recommended pre-formatted settings for this, but I cannot get the disc to play on either of our two DVD players.

Could someone PLEASE give me a step-by-step rundown of how I can do this? (I don’t know if I need to mention my DVD player is Australian region, but adding that info in case it changes things).

Thanks

You can't just burn files to a disk; it must be "authored."

This is the link for info re using Encore CS6 with CC:

NOTE MOD: Premiere CS6 (and Encore) is only available for those who have a perpetual license.

Ok, so I've looked at all the links and I understand I need Encore.  But I seriously cannot find where or how to download this?  I am on a Premiere Pro ONLY monthly plan.  No other Creative Cloud apps (aside from Encoder).  No Encore is installed anywhere on my laptop, it seems.

I cannot fathom why this is such a complicated process?  You'd think having editing software with a DVD export preset would then naturally come with an authoring program, surely?  I understand there were licensing issues, but now what?

I don't normally feel like such a moron, but this seems so complicated and has really thrown me for a loop.

You need to read Stan's first post again.

Encore is only available through Premiere CS6.

So open the CC desktop app. Look for manage/other versions (dropdown menu next to Pr 13.1.2) and install Premiere cs6. That will also install Encore CS6.

I cannot access the dropdown or option to access CS6.  Adobe tech support have informed me it's been removed as an option as of May 8th (today).  "The support was removed way before and now even the download has been removed."  It'd be just my luck that it literally has been removed today.

Happy to be proved wrong here.  I'm running around in circles, no result.  Not too keen to risk a download from a non-Adobe link (there are some backdoor Encore downloads floating around).

I echo Stan and Bob. What you did was simply create a data disk that only a computer can read. Standalone DVD players cannot read the format of such a disc at all.

The poster, who luckily is in no hurry to get this fixed since he isn't responding yet... may have burnt and RW disk and tried to play it in DVD players that CANNOT play RW disks.  The players usually have specs that SAY whether they are able to.

Or he might have used a double sided Disc which is even MORE unlikely to play on some players.

It's fun to guess what's going on though.

Sorry, I’m new to the forum, in a different timezone and all of the replies were being flagged in my junk filter.

The previous posters were correct; just a moron who didnt even realise there was another step in the process.

Appreciate the feedback.
