Must be a bug in the latest update, which I installed this morning.

Play window covers the timecode and timeline indicators. Record monitor is fine.

Known issue: been around for a long time now.

Workaround: Close window and open again from the project window by double-clicking on a clip.

Some lingo: record monitor is called Program Monitor.
