Question

Captions won't show up over nested sequence

Hello,

The issue I'm having is that I've created a captions track and it shows up just fine over a fresh clip but when I have it playing over a nested sequence it turns the screen black so I can't see the footage, just a black screen with captions.

The first picture shows the captions playing over the nested sequence and blocking the footage. The second shows the captions playing over a new clip just fine. And I have tried moving the nested sequence up to the video track that the other clip was on when it worked, that didn't work.

Please help!!! This has never happened before

Hello @Jacob Fraser,

Thanks for the message. It’s been a long time since you filed this bug, and I apologize for the lack of a response. Are you still having this issue? If so, the team will need more information from you to reproduce the bug. Can you provide the information required here? How do I write a bug report?

I'll move your post to the Discussions board while we await your information.

Thanks,

Kevin

You are right; this should not happen because of the captions.

Look back at the nested sequence. I suspect something is turned off.

I have a very slow internet connection for a couple weeks. And the linked screenshots will not load. It is better to add them using the insert photos icon rather than attaching them.
