Question

Crashing while exporting

Hey everyone,

So I've been working on this video essay for about a month and I plan to post it to Youtube. It is made up of a ton of dynamic links to After Effects where I edit motion graphics. After a previous user recommended making the dynamic links shorter for better performance on another project, I went into this one with that in mind. Now as I try to export my computer will crash around the halfway point and output a corrupted video file, so I can't even view it to see where exactly it crashes to determine which frame/effect could be causing it if that is indeed the main perpetrator.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to fix this issue. Specifically, if the problem is just overly intensive graphics, is there any way I can solve that issue without touching the effects themselve? Can I transfer the project to a more powerful computer via an external SSD?

Thanks in advance!

As a work around you could render the sequence and then export using previews.

Hi there!

Sorry about the crash. Can you check if crash reports are saved? https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/faq-where-do-i-find-premiere-pro-crash-logs-on-windows-or-mac/td-p/9200778

Let us know.

Thanks,

Kartika

What are the complete computer specs, including hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

How is the exported drive formatted? If FAT32, file size is limited to 4 GB.

If NVIDIA graphics, make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

Oh, also forgot to mention that my computer is able to render the video, but it just can't export it.
