"Create captions" not working.

The transcription process works great. As soon as I click the "Create Captions" button, I get the screen below, and it never changes. I can cancel it an go back to the transcription, but can not get any further. I've tried resetting my Premier settings, and resetting the workspace. I've even uninstalled and re-installed. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Correct answer Stan Jones

This is a bug report carried over from UserVoice, started July 26, 2021 (I think version 15.4, PR 2021). When posted here on 1/24/23, it had 36 votes. It was one of various bugs in different versions that shared a symptom of captions not being created from a transcript. From more recent comments in this thread, I am not sure what version users are running and which of the various bugs they are experiencing.

I could not replicate the original bug, but I believe that it was fixed in the PR 2022 version.

If you comment in this thread, would you please indicate the version of PR you are using? And what particular symptom you get?

Screenshots are not carrying over from UserVoice (or at least did not so far). To see any screenshots, here is the link to UserVoice for this bug:

Edit: 5/2/23 The UserVoice posts are no longer available.

Have you tried installing a current Premiere Pro Beta version (22.1)? You can download the Beta version in the Creative Cloud Desktop app -> click on "Beta apps" in the left-hand side and install the Beta version that's available. Then just try out the caption creation workflow with a copy of your project that's failing in 15.4.1x6.

We've added some caption fixed to the current version so there's a chance that this bug has been fixed along the way.

@Jonathan Fahl - that's interesting! Can you please share which card and driver version you're using?

Additionally you can also share a System Compatibility Report:
1. Go to the Help menu -> "System Compatibility Report"
2. If reports are shown, go to "Export Report"
3. This should export 2 txt files, please share these with me

Thank you!

A solution that I found was adding a dedicated graphics card and switching away from the onboard Intel HD graphics. I have a GTX 1650, so it isn't the greatest in the world, but somehow when I changed that part of the computer the 'create captions' button started working.

Is this also happening in current Premiere Pro Beta builds or are you seeing this bug only in 15.4.0 or 15.4.1?

As others have mentioned, I have no extensions installed, and it was a brand new project.
