"Create captions" not working.

The transcription process works great. As soon as I click the "Create Captions" button, I get the screen below, and it never changes. I can cancel it an go back to the transcription, but can not get any further. I've tried resetting my Premier settings, and resetting the workspace. I've even uninstalled and re-installed. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Correct answer Stan Jones

This is a bug report carried over from UserVoice, started July 26, 2021 (I think version 15.4, PR 2021). When posted here on 1/24/23, it had 36 votes. It was one of various bugs in different versions that shared a symptom of captions not being created from a transcript. From more recent comments in this thread, I am not sure what version users are running and which of the various bugs they are experiencing.

I could not replicate the original bug, but I believe that it was fixed in the PR 2022 version.

If you comment in this thread, would you please indicate the version of PR you are using? And what particular symptom you get?

Screenshots are not carrying over from UserVoice (or at least did not so far). To see any screenshots, here is the link to UserVoice for this bug:

Edit: 5/2/23 The UserVoice posts are no longer available.

Did you install Transcriptive? Any other extensions? If so, check out this FAQ: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/faq-why-does-my-text-panel-remain-blank-or-not-appear-for-speech-to-text/td-p/12231563

If not, you might try again in a new project. I had some trouble with open captions not updating in older projects I updated. However, everything was fine in a new project.

Hi I have the exact same issue. Is there a fix for this yet? Very frustrating. Grateful for any advice! No issues in the System compatibility report. I am on Windows 10 system.

I have this exact issue too. It occurs on a work laptop with lots of security measures. My home personal laptop works fine.

Hello,
Here are some logs. My colleague tried and got a message that said "user not approved for cloud transcription usage" (I don't get this message, it just hangs). Could this be a firewall issue?

Hi Christopher, I'm sorry to hear that! We're working hard to get that fixed.

Are you able to provide us with the UXP log (check my comment below your entry about how to find the UXP log file)? This can help us narrow down the cause of this.

Thanks,
Kerstin
