"Create captions" not working.

The transcription process works great. As soon as I click the "Create Captions" button, I get the screen below, and it never changes. I can cancel it an go back to the transcription, but can not get any further. I've tried resetting my Premier settings, and resetting the workspace. I've even uninstalled and re-installed. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Correct answer Stan Jones

This is a bug report carried over from UserVoice, started July 26, 2021 (I think version 15.4, PR 2021). When posted here on 1/24/23, it had 36 votes. It was one of various bugs in different versions that shared a symptom of captions not being created from a transcript. From more recent comments in this thread, I am not sure what version users are running and which of the various bugs they are experiencing.

I could not replicate the original bug, but I believe that it was fixed in the PR 2022 version.

If you comment in this thread, would you please indicate the version of PR you are using? And what particular symptom you get?

Screenshots are not carrying over from UserVoice (or at least did not so far). To see any screenshots, here is the link to UserVoice for this bug:

Edit: 5/2/23 The UserVoice posts are no longer available.

Same issue, super frustrating. Using15.4.1, transcription worked, stuck on that same creating captions window that never changes. Everything is updated.

Thanks a lot for attaching the reports! This issue is tricky to reproduce so we're trying to gather as much information as possible when this occurs.

If you're getting stuck again during the caption creation process, please go to this folder:

on Mac:
Users//Library/Logs/Adobe/Premiere Pro 2021
or if you're on Beta: Users//Library/Logs/Adobe/Premiere Pro (Beta) 2021

on Win:
/users//AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Premiere Pro/Logs
or if you're using Beta: /users//AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Premiere Pro(Beta)/Logs

There you will find a file named "UXPLogs...date/time".log
This log file should contain useful information once caption creation has failed. Please share this log file with me so I can take a closer look.

Thank you!

I am experiencing the same thing. Windows 10. Premier 15.4.1 (Build 6). Reports attached. My video is only about 4 1/2 minutes, it creates the transcript, but when I click on the button to create subtitles, it gets hung up on the "Creating Captions" screen.

Same issue here. Premiere Pro v15.4.1 (Build 6). But while creating auto transcription the process stops whilst in the processing stage. The video/audio files are approximately 1hr in length.

I am experiencing the same problem. Very frustrating as I cannot complete this last step in my video project. Please address this.

I ran system compatibility report and it returned no conflicts.

Hi, here are the reports.
Once again, it was working with some versions of the PPRO Beta version and suddenly stopped working in the Beta and the official version. Since now even with the newest version, it doesn't create captions.

That's good to hear, Michael!

In case anyone else is still seeing this and is unable to create captions from a transcript, please follow the steps blow and provide a System Compatibility Report. This will help us investigate the issue further. Thanks!
