"Create captions" not working.

The transcription process works great. As soon as I click the "Create Captions" button, I get the screen below, and it never changes. I can cancel it an go back to the transcription, but can not get any further. I've tried resetting my Premier settings, and resetting the workspace. I've even uninstalled and re-installed. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Correct answer Stan Jones

This is a bug report carried over from UserVoice, started July 26, 2021 (I think version 15.4, PR 2021). When posted here on 1/24/23, it had 36 votes. It was one of various bugs in different versions that shared a symptom of captions not being created from a transcript. From more recent comments in this thread, I am not sure what version users are running and which of the various bugs they are experiencing.

I could not replicate the original bug, but I believe that it was fixed in the PR 2022 version.

If you comment in this thread, would you please indicate the version of PR you are using? And what particular symptom you get?

Screenshots are not carrying over from UserVoice (or at least did not so far). To see any screenshots, here is the link to UserVoice for this bug:

Edit: 5/2/23 The UserVoice posts are no longer available.

Sorry for the late reply. Our IT Dept replaced my computer and the captions are working now.

If you see this happening again on your machine, could you please try the following:

1. Go to the Help menu -> "System Compatibility Report"
2. If reports are shown, go to "Export Report"
3. This should export 2 txt files, please share these with me

(More info on the System Compatibility Report can be found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/system-compatibility-report.html)

Thanks!

On my laptop , it works fine. Only my desktop refuse to create caption.

Hi, I'm Quality Engineer at Adobe and want to investigate this issue further. Which Premiere version and which OS are you using? Are you trying to transcribe to English or to a different language?

Thanks,

I am using Adobe Premiere Pro Version 15.4.0 (Build 47) on Windows 10 enterprise version 20H2. The videos I am trying to transcribe are English. Premiere will create the correct transcript, but will not create the captions. I waited for an hour for a 3min video and captions were never created and status bar never moved.

Same issue as well. Premiere will transcribe, but will not create captions

Right there with you. I've had this same issue from the get-go. My co-worker who sits right next to me on the same machine hasn't had any issues, but I can't get past creating captions. Any help would be great.
