Question

Creating captions in Adobe 24 causes 1 second of blank screen

Working on a video project and have the audio and video editing done. Last step is adding closed captions (CC). When I add the captions, I'm getting an unexplained one second black screen just as the lower third for one speaker rolls in. I've made sure everything is saved and rendered, but the problem keeps happening. I deleted the captions and the lower third rolls in and out just fine, which is how I know the issue is definitely with the CC. Has anyone else experienced this and has a solution?

I'm not sure how you have this set up. A screenshot might help; include the timeline, program monitor, text panel, and properties/essential graphics panel. (The EGP functions are in the Properties panel starting in version 25.)
