Custom Shortcut for Clip Label Color Doesn't Work in Timeline

Issue:

When assigning a custom shortcut to set a clip to a specific label color in Premiere Pro 24.5, using the shortcut in the timeline does not change the label color of the clip. Instead, it shifts the focus to the Project panel.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Premiere Pro 24.5.
  2. Assign a custom keyboard shortcut for setting a clip to a specific label color.
  3. Select a clip in the timeline.
  4. Use the custom keyboard shortcut.

Expected Result:

The label color of the selected clip in the timeline should change to the assigned color.

Actual Result:

The label color does not change, and the focus moves to the Project panel.

Additional Information:

  • The custom shortcut works as expected when used in the Project panel, changing the clip label color without issue.
  • The issue is specific to the timeline.

Cheers,
Paul

Disregard! I had the same keyboard shortcut assigned to multiple commands.

I'm glad your issue is solved. I will move this thread to the Discussions forum, then.

Thanks,

I just tried it Paul, and it worked for me. I set it to f5 (and also f17 I also have on my keyboard) and both worked. PP 24.5

Do you have this on?
