Error 16 on Windows 10 Help !!

Hello everyone,

So I have a Windows 10 computer, and have downloaded the Premiere Pro Program today. However, when the download is finished, I have an Error 16 message, telling me to uninstall/install the program. I've done that and nothing doesn't work.

I went on this link : Erreur de configuration dans Adobe Creative Cloud ou Adobe Creative Suite , it's in French but that's what Adobe recommends us to do to fix the problem.

I've followed through all the steps, which were really not clear, because I couldn't find half of the commands (even though I assure you I've looked and looked, and even searched online).

Do anyone had that problem? How did you fix it? Or do you have any ideas?

Thank you so much for your help community!

Hoping to hear from you soon

I too was directed here and am also on a Mac and do not speak French. I hesitate to take any action until I get an possible solution that addresses the issues that have arisen since the update to Premiere Pro CC 2018. I have project media that will not load, other files in the media browser that cannot be accessed and eventually the entire app freezes.

Same here Fundi Club. I'm on a Windows 10 system and experienced a crash when just trying to right click on a sequence to copy. Had to reset preferences and reboot. Crash App popup asked me to report and after completed was directed here.

Total waste of time.

Adobe? Are you there? My issue was totally unrelated and if the most you can advise is to uninstall and reinstall on a completely different issue what's the use?

I too was directed to this specific page by the Adobe crash reporter after a PremierePro (2017.1.2) Crash (Mac OS 10.12.6.)

First time ever that the Adobe crash reporter actually said it 'found a solution'... but wasted my time.

This is the dialogue I received :

Adobe has found a solution or workaround for the recent crash in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017.

for some reason i was directed here via adobe pop-up message/link after 3rd premier install failure over the last week. doesn't seem to apply, i'm not on windows and i don't speak french. i'm on a mac sierra 10.12.6 and after installing the premier 2018 update it crashes before launch and toward end of splash screen loading. have tried uninstalling and reinstalling three times and have reported this to adobe in several places on the forum but have not gotten a response yet. reinstalled premier 2017 which is working. if any adobe support help is reading this would like to figure this out. btw, premier did not generate a crash report. i posted apple crash log previously.

I was also directed here, quite to my surprise. This does not seem related to the crash I had.

Yep, same. tried the fix, no change. Media doesn't load mistimes, very slow. Metadata doesn't work as expected (only changes two clips data at a time - pretty unusable) Overall - this update has wasted at least 2-3 hours this week, the clients time i might add.
