Question

Foreign subtitles appearing as blocks instead of characters in Premiere Pro

Hello,

I am trying to import foreign subtitles SRT tiles into Premiere in various South Asian languages.

However, the characters are translating into blocks.

I have tried saving the SRT files into .DFXP files without success when importing.

I also tried re-saving the SRT files in a Sublime Text editor using UTF-8 with BOM encoding. Again no success when importing.

Any ideas or help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Anny,

In addition to the suggestion shared by the experts above, could you confirm which language is your OS installed in? Also, where did you get the SRT file from?

Let us know. We're here to help.

Shivangi
