frames stuttering/lagging

Hi all,

i have a music video i'm currently editing and have an issue with it.

I'm having frames drop/stutter/lag on playback and on exports both through media encoder and premiere.

It's nothing to do with my ram or processor struggling as i have an M2 Pro macbook pro.

This is what i've tried so far:

- deleting cache files

- exporting through media encoder

-using an older version of premiere

-changing frame rates multiple times (was shot in 25fps)

-changing frame size down to 1920x1080

any help regarding this would be super appericated.
