Freezing Problem

I'm honestly fed up with Premiere Pro at this point.

I'm currently experiencing severe freezing issues across all my projects. Playback suddenly stops working, the Program Monitor gets stuck, and sometimes the entire application becomes completely unresponsive. Even saving the project gets stuck at 0% indefinitely. During these freezes, CPU and GPU usage drop to virtually zero, as if the application has simply stopped functioning.

This isn't an isolated incident. I've been dealing with stability, performance, and reliability issues in Premiere Pro for nearly six years, and it's honestly embarrassing that a professional editing application still suffers from problems like these.

I've tried troubleshooting, clearing caches, adjusting settings, and investigating possible GPU driver issues. Yet these problems keep coming back.

I'm a professional video editor, and I need software I can actually rely on. Losing hours of productive time because the application randomly decides to stop working is simply unacceptable.

When is Adobe going to take Premiere Pro's stability seriously?

I'm currently stuck with an important project that I cannot even play back or save. The application has been frozen for an extended period, and I'm unable to continue my work. I genuinely don't know what to do at this point.

I need actual technical assistance, not another generic troubleshooting checklist. Please help me recover my current project and identify the underlying cause of these recurring freezes. This is directly affecting my ability to work and meet deadlines.

That’s bad. While most of us aren’t having issues, if you’re the one who’s “it”, it is horrific. Total sympathies.

Issues this bad …. where clearly several things are going wonky … are typically a mix of something in the app and something/s local. And sometimes sorting this out is a right royal pain … as someone who naturally enjoys troubleshooting most of the time, some cases are a right beetard.

Without knowing the setup … the hardware and media and any plugins and normal effects use and media … there’s not a lot any of us other users or even a staffer could add.
