GH5 footage trouble

HELP! I can't be the only one with this problem. So when I edit my GH5 footage (8 bit) in premiere (up to date) it's all good but as soon as I go to change highlights/shadows, half of my clips in the timeline goes red. I'm using Mercury playback engine GPU acceleration. Switched it to software only and I still have problems. It's killing me, please if someone could help me that would be great.

Hi Myang625,

I tested with the files & not able to reproduce the issue on my machine. No red frames.

To my knowledge, it might be an issue with the GPU drivers. Please try to install the previous versions of GPU drivers & test.

Thanks,

Vidya

R Neil HaugenRameezKhan I found the solution! I turned off accelerated h.264 decoding and it worked or me!

There are a number of threads concerning GH5 issues, I'd suggest looking through them especially going to the last post or so.

Screen-grabs would help, of course. With GH5 media, keeping the playback quality on 'high' in the Program monitor solves several issues.

By "red", I'm assuming you mean the bar over the media in the timeline panel goes red, and playback gets wonky?

Ok, I haven't looked at the other posts but here is a screen grab. Everything is fine until I start to color correct. As soon as I start it goes red like this image provided.

Does it go red when adding color grading to the clips instead of an AL.
